Congressman Bro. Eddie Villanueva led the filing of candidacy of the Citizens\u2019 Battle Against Corruption (CIBAC) Party-List for the May 2025 elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with select CIBAC leaders from NCR, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and international chapters, Congressman Bro. Eddie marched into the Tent City, Manila Hotel where the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is receiving Certificates of Nomination and Acceptance for party-list elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congressman Bro. Eddie will be CIBAC\u2019s lead nominee, with former CIBAC Representative Domeng Rivera and Atty. Cathy Valencia as the 2nd and 3rd nominees, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CIBAC solon said that he will push for death penalty for government officials who will be convicted of corrupting 100 million pesos and above worth of public funds. He said \u2018when millions of pesos go to corruption, millions of poor Filipinos are deprived of basic government services that are rightfully theirs.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CIBAC Party-List has championed more than 280 laws since it joined the party-list race in 2001. Among these are the Anti-Money Laundering Law, GMRC Law, Ease of Doing Business Law, Government Procurement Act, Doktor Para sa Bayan Act, and the Trabaho Para sa Bayan Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
