We laud the transfer of the case of Alice Guo for violation of provisions of Republic Act 3019 or the the Ant-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act from Tarlac Regional Trial Court (RTC) to Valenzuela RTC. We thank the Ombudsman and Capas, Tarlac RTC for seriously considering this matter and not letting any technicality foil the wheel of justice for the Filipino people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we have said before, we can now eliminate the possibility of the case being dismissed because of jurisdiction issue based on the provision of Republic Act 10660 and Supreme Court jurisprudence particularly the case on Non vs. Ombudsman. In the said case, the High Court dismissed a case filed against erring pubic officials because it was filed not outside the judicial region of where the offense was committed – contrary to the provision of RA 10660.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
